All of our surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis if the patient is healthy. After surgery, patients are able to return home in the care of a competent adult, or they may stay at our overnight care facility. These can be arranged by the staff of Aesthetica if desired. In the case of very large reductions, or in a patient with health problems, the procedure can be performed in the hospital, but at increased expense.
Dr. Caputy has privileges at each of the major local hospitals to perform all of these procedures. The office surgical unit is fully accredited, and general anesthesia is provided only by our board certified M.D. anesthesiologists. Below you can learn about each of our cosmetic surgery procedures. Body Sculpting:
Liposuction, or liposculpture, is removes unwanted fat deposits from specific areas of the body, including the chin, neck, upper arms, breast and upper torso, abdomen, buttocks, hips, flanks, thighs, knees, calves and ankles. Liposuction is not a substitute for weight reduction and is not used as a treatment for obesity. It is an excellent method for the removal of localized fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. Liposuction can enhance your appearance and self-confidence. Dr. Caputy takes an honest approach to reach attainable goals specifically designed for you.
Dr. Caputy is trained in the art of superficial liposuction, which breaks down the adhesions between the skin and underlying supporting structures and smoothes out the dimples of cellulite. Dr. Caputy is a fully trained plastic surgeon with over three years of additional aesthetic surgery training after board qualification in plastic surgery. He spent 4 months training in Switzerland with one of the originators of liposuction and learned all of the most modern techniques of liposculpture and superficial liposuction using the tumescent technique. He has privileges at Kapiolani, Kuakini and Queen's Medical Centers to perform liposuction, as well as all other plastic surgery procedures. Breast Augmentation is a commonly performed procedure with a very impressive record of patient satisfaction. Full, shapely breasts can make any woman feel more feminine, beautiful, and secure. Breast augmentation is designed to give a woman a more curvaceous, sexy bustline and a completely natural, but enhanced look.
There are two main factors that must be considered prior to implant surgery: first, the size desired and, second, where the incisions should be made in order to be the least conspicuous for the woman's particular lifestyle. Dr. Caputy will work with your body type and surgical goals to reach the best possible outcome for your breast augmentation. Contact Aesthetica Plastic & Laser Surgery Center today!

As the breast matures, the skin envelope and supporting ligaments of the breast sag, and drooping occurs. A simple breast lift can take years off your body by correcting a sagging bust line, restoring your body's youthful state. A breast lift involves elevating the nipple and areola (dark skin around the nipple) to provide a more desirable shape and position.
For many women, a combination of a breast lift and a breast augmentation allows for a very nice correction of early breast droop with loss of breast volume. The breast lift procedure, in most cases, involves similar incisions to breast reduction procedures and the risks are similar although they occur less often (see below for breast reduction information).

Breast reduction surgery is loved by all of the women who have the procedure performed. There are many different techniques that allow me to maintain attractive breasts while reducing the size. In very minor cases, liposuction can yield the desired result. Although by this method, there is very little change to the skin envelope and support of the breast. In all except the most minor of reductions where limited scarring is possible, the biggest shortcoming of all of these techniques is the scarring.
The scars are in the shape of an anchor with a circumferential scar around the areola followed by a scar going down the center of the breast mound, as well as a scar along the entire fold where the breast meets the chest wall. This scar is limited so as not to infringe on the central chest, except in the case of very large reduction procedures.
In most cases, the nipple retains sensation, and the ability to breast feed is preserved. The cost of breast reduction surgery can be partially or fully covered by insurance if there are medical problems associated with the large breasts, such as back pain, intertrigo (infection of the skin under the breasts), recurrent infections, shoulder pain, and sensory loss. Contact us today to discuss your options for breast reduction.

Surgery of the abdomen is very individualized, depending upon the result that is desired, as well as the deformity initially present. For many patients, liposuction is an excellent technique yielding very nice results when applied to excess fatty tissue of the abdomen. Skin cannot be in excess, to any large extent, and the supporting structures of the abdomen must be taut for optimal results from this procedure. Liposuction is often used in conjunction with abdominoplasty techniques.
Using modern techniques of tumescent liposuction and internal ultrasonic assistance, smooth, beautiful results with rapid recovery are readily attainable.

Mini Tuck
In mini tucks, a rather small incision is made, usually including and improving the Pfannenstiel scar from caesarean section or previous abdominal surgery. The small amount of skin excess is removed, and the lower portion of the supporting muscle of the abdomen (rectus muscle) can be strengthened to create a very smooth and flat tummy below the belly button (umbilicus). The down time from this procedure is only about one week for essentially complete recovery, although strenuous physical activities should be avoided for one month. The scar is almost invisible in the hair of the pubic area. Risks are small, and include mainly that of bleeding and infection, as well as possible reaction to anesthesia.
True Abdominoplasty
A true abdominoplasty, as classically performed, involves tightening abdominal skin and superficial tissues as well as the muscle supporting them. This rectus muscle is often stretched during pregnancy, and can be weakened centrally or at its edges. The tightening yields a taut, flat abdomen. Within reason, the waist size can also be reduced through this tightening procedure.
Dr. Caputy and our knowledgeable staff are readily available to answer any questions you may have regarding tummy tuck procedures. To discuss your options, contact Aesthetica today.
Buttock Lift - Gluteal Augmentation
A buttock lift can give you the smooth, round buttocks you have always wanted. For optimal results, gluteal augmentation is sometimes performed in conjunction with liposuction to ensure all surplus fat and tissue is removed. Swelling and discomfort are common side effects, but they can be easily controlled. Within a week, you will be able to return to your normal routine with new, sexy curves. Please contact Dr. Caputy today to find out more about buttock lifts.
